Since the passage of the Farm Bill in 2018 which made CBD legal, horse owners have been looking for an authentic CBD product to help with their horse’s inflammation as well as CBD for animal anxiety. Our CBD disc was created using full-spectrum CBD grown organically in Longmont, Colorado.
When we developed our CBD Oil disc for horses, donkeys, and mules, we knew that CBD oil reduced inflammation, promoted faster healing, supports pain management and horses were less anxious. In the horses we tested our product on, the results were amazing and sometimes unbelievable. Our biggest fans have been veterinarians and farriers that keep recommending our product to their clients.
Why did we make our product into a disc (cookie)? During our CBD for horses’ research, we tested pellets and oils, and we weren’t convinced that the horse was ingesting all of the CBD. The pellets were dropped onto the stall floor while the oil sat on the bottom of their feeder. And what horse doesn’t want something sweet? Our disc also contains a proprietary blend of additional anti-inflammatory herbs.
At H & J Equine Supplements, we strive to be involved in CBD for horses’ research studies and to keep up to date with new findings. Below is another study to show the effects of CBD on animals' anxiety, including our equine friends. Our team at H & J Equine Supplements which includes three PhD’s, is actively watching every study done on not only how CBD Oil affects horses, but also for dogs and humans.
We are currently watching a CBD for horses’ research study from Tarleton State University which is studying the effectiveness and safety of CBD in equines. They are hoping to publish their findings in 2021. We are hoping when this study is complete the associations will lift their ban on CBD and allow horse owners a natural solution to their horses' overall well-being.
