Are CBD Horse Discs (Cookies) easier to feed?

With so many equine CBD products on the market for horses, donkey’s, mule’s, ponies, and miniature horses, which is the best way to feed your horse CBD?  Equine CBD typically comes in pellets, cookies, and pastes.  So, let’s look at all three.

The advantages to the CBD Discs or Cookies are that most members of the equine family love cookies.  So, 100% of the CBD is guaranteed to get into their system. Since CBD is expensive, this is a great way to make sure they are receiving the 25 mg of CBD daily.  CBD discs or cookies are made in a commercial kitchen just like human cookies.  The CBD Discs at H & J CBD Equine Supplements are organic and includes a proprietary blend of muscle relaxing and anti-inflammatory herbs.

Pelleted CBD products begin with essentially the same ingredients that go into textured feed. The grains are dried and finely ground, breaking up the seed coatings and kernels. The grains are thoroughly mixed with CBD and are then sent to the conditioner, a chamber in which steam is introduced to add moisture and heat. The hot, moist mash is then fed into the pelleting mill where it is forced through dies. The dies can be adjusted to process various mash formulations and produce pellets of different diameters. The downside to pellets is that horses tend to dump their grain bucket over and eat off the ground or pick there head up while eating and drop pellets and their grain onto the stall floor.

Although not as popular, there are CBD paste available. You administer the CBD by Inserting the syringe tip into the horse's mouth at the space between the teeth. Depress the plunger as far as it will go, depositing paste on the back of the tongue. Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds after dosing.  The problem as many horse owners know, is sometimes the horses will hold that paste in their mouth and eventually spit it out.
