How much CBD does it take to calm a horse?

The standard dosing of CBD is 25mg for a 1200-pound horse. When treating sever anxiety, we reached out to the owners of H & J CBD Equine Supplements, and they told us that their clients are finding that 25 to 50 mg works the best for horses with anxiety.
If the horse is on stall rest, 25 mg once a day is the normal dosage. Many of H & J CBD Equine Supplements clients use CBD if their barrel horse, roping horse or show horse has anxiety walking into the arena or in the box. We have found that 50 mg the day before the rodeo or horse show and then 25 mg the day of competition works the best. Please refer to your association’s banned drug list before administering CBD at a sanctioned event.
